How to solve
Inverse trig undoes the ratio: arcsin(x) asks 'which principal angle has sine x?'. Recall the special-angle table in reverse.
Steps
- Match the value to the special-angle table.
- arcsin and arctan answer in [−90°, 90°]; arccos in [0°, 180°].
- These drills use first-quadrant and boundary values.
Example
arcsin(1/2) in degrees?
- sin 30° = 1/2.
- So arcsin(1/2) = 30°.
Answer: 30
How to type answers
- Answer in degrees, just the number
