How to solve

A rectangle’s area counts how many unit squares fit inside it. Multiplying length by width tiles the rectangle with those unit squares in rows and columns.

Steps

  1. Identify the length and the width.
  2. Multiply: Area = length × width.

Example

A rectangle is 7 units long and 3 units wide. Find its area.

  1. Area = 7 × 3 = 21.

Answer: 21
