How to solve

Area of a circle scales with the square of the radius: A = πr². In these drills you report only the coefficient of π, which is exactly r² — the geometric part of the formula after factoring out π.

Steps

  1. Use A = πr².
  2. Square the radius to get the coefficient of π.
  3. Enter that coefficient (not the full A = …π expression).

Example

A circle has radius 4. Find the coefficient of π in its area.

  1. A = π · 4² = 16π.
  2. The coefficient is 16.

Answer: 16

How to type answers

  • If A = 16π, enter 16
